Pinter/PROUST

In 1972, Harold Pinter wrote a screenplay from Proust’s seven-volume masterpiece Remembrance of Things Past. Attend the U.S. premiere of Pinter’s stage adaptation of Proust’s masterpiece. Prior to the screening, join the play’s director Di Trevis with New York Times critic Alastair Macaulay for a talk on Harold Pinter.

This special talk, which will take place in 92Y’s Warburg Lounge from 6:30-7:30 p.m., is open to Pinter/PROUST ticket-holders only. Once you have purchased your ticket, please RSVP to the free pre-show talk: email. Seating is limited.

In celebration of Pinter’s long friendship with the 92Y Poetry Center and the centenary of Swann’s Way, the center presents a staged reading of the play—which, as John Updike wrote, offers “yet another angle of perception upon a work so elaborate … it never fails to give back new light.”

The production is being directed by Di Trevis—who worked closely with Pinter—and Ed Sylvanus Iskandar. It features the following actors:

Natasha Andrews
Richard Armitage
Dan Amboyer
Kersti Bryan
Annabel Capper
Peter Clements (Marcel)
Samantha Dakin
Andrew Fallaize
Lara Hillier
Hall Hunsinger
Natalie Thomas
Michael Villastrigo

Pre-show talk begins at 6:30 p.m. The screening begins at 8 p.m.
