This private tour will introduce visitors to one of the most extraordinary art collections ever assembled in North America. Robert Lehman and his parents, Philip and Carrie Lehman, acquired art in a range of fields over seven decades. Their collection of paintings, drawings, manuscripts, textiles, majolica, frames, glass, furniture, and decorative arts was presented to The Metropolitan Museum of Art by Robert Lehman as a bequest in 1969, and it has resided ever since in galleries evoking the ambiance of the Lehman family townhouse.

Includes luncheon with the curator at 12:15 p.m.
