Put a Poem in Your Pocket and Celebrate National Poetry Month

Dr. Anne Klaeysen, Leader
Richard Koral presides
This April marks the 20th anniversary of National Poetry Month, which was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996. Over the years, National Poetry Month has become the largest literary celebration in the world with schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets celebrating poetry’s vital place in our culture.
We will celebrate with a Sunday platform and plenty of poems for you to put in your pockets and share with family, friends and neighbors.
Entry to our 100-year-old building and meeting rooms is available for most wheelchair users with prior arrangements. Please call ahead  (212-874-5210 x107) for setup of our portable system and plan to arrive one hour before start time.
