Reading with Yelena Moskovich, Alexandra Kleeman, and Hannah Assidi

Join Yelena Moskovich, Alexandra Kleeman, and Hannah Assadi for a reading and discussion at The Red Room above KGB Bar, March 28, 2018 at 7 p.m. This event is part of Yelena’s US tour celebrating the March 13 release of her novel, The Natashas.

Yelena will also hold a solo reading at Bluestockings Bookstore, April 1, at 7 p.m.

A startlingly original novel that recalls the unsettling visual worlds of Cindy Sherman and David Lynch and the writing of Angela Carter and Haruki Murakami, The Natashas follows two people in Paris: beatrice, a solitary jazz singer, and César, a lonely Mexican actor. Both are haunted by the specters of ghosts or alter egos, as well as a chorus of young women who all share the same name: Natasha.

“Strange and carnal; a riddle of language, the body, and the artistic impulse.”
