In 1976 designer/director Robert Wilson and composer Philip Glass debuted Einstein on the Beach, their first collaborative work and one that would redefine opera. Now, nearly four decades after the opera was first performed, Glass’s entire never-before-displayed autograph manuscript and Wilson’s storyboard encompassing 113 scene designs will be reunited for the first time in Robert Wilson/Philip Glass: Einstein on the Beach. On view July 13–November 4.
