Science Comedy Saloon

NYC’s best science comedians gather together to throw you a big-ol’ nerd-tastic standup comedy party. Join dropout paleoanthropologist Kyle Marian (The Symposium, Buzzfeed, NowThis), climate journalist Kasha Patel (DC Science Comedy, WaPo Capital Weather Gang) and some more of their comedy and nerdy pals.

Meet the performers:

Host Kyle Marian is a former anthropologist, producer of The Symposium: Academic Stand-Up, Code Switch Improv, and Asians Strike Back: A Coronavirus Comedy & Science Show, and a science communication trainer. She’s a UK Bright Club Comedy alum and has trained up a few hundred academics to translate their research into comedy.

Kasha Patel is a science journalist and the producer and host of DC Science Comedy. You may have seen her on The Weather Channel, NASA TV, and BBC World News.

Benny Feldman is a stand-up comedian based out of New York City, just recently named one of the New Faces at the 2022 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Feldman is known for his one-liners and for performing with Tourette’s syndrome, which he was interviewed about on Tosh.0 on Comedy Central.

Dr. Dee is a stand-up comedian and some kind of doctor based in New York City. She’s a self-described clean comic with insult humor and has been featured in the Seattle International Comedy Competition.

Brandon Follick majored in biology. He’s performed all over and has written satire for Reductress, McSweeney’s, Aww Mag, and contributed headlines to The Onion.

April Body is a comedian who loves to fight the stigma on fibroids and Black women’s healthcare. She hosts “CoPay: A Comedy Show With A Bit Of Malpractice” at Caveat.
