Spaces of Justice Midtown Community Court Midtown, Manhattan WAIT LIST ONLY

This tour is now sold out, but you can sign up for the waitlist to be notified if spots become available here

The Midtown Community Court, established by the Center for Court Innovation in 1993, was one of the country’s first problem-solving courts, providing alternatives to fines and jail as a response to low-level crime. Located in a late 19th-century landmarked building that was originally constructed as the Seventh District Police Court and Prison (and now shared with a non-profit theater company), the Midtown Community Court seeks sentences that are restorative to the victim, defendant, and community. An onsite social services clinic, and fatherhood and workforce developmet programs, are open to everyone.

Join OHNY for a tour of the building and an overview of the court’s work. The tour will also include time to observe court in session.
