Bible in Latin, printed in 1480 by Adolf Rusch for Anton Koberger, was issued in five volumes and bound in the Carthusian monastery in Basel. This early printed Bible is included in the exhibition,Printers, Monks & Craftsmen: Bookmaking in the Age of Gutenberg. Join Clare Manias, Conservator of the Rare Bible Collection at MOBIA, for an in-depth discussion of the hallmarks of 15th century monastic binding.
