The Battle for Reality

In ancient India, the world of the senses was “Maya,” meaning illusion, the “play of the gods.” Shakespeare’s As You Like It still proclaims that “all the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players…” Reality was a great drama, a play of the gods.

Today humans create artificial reality, “video games” so complex that many again think the cosmos may be an immense game. What is the human purpose in this game?

Rudolf Steiner said we return at night to “the architect’s office” from “the building site.” Are challenging, testing powers demanding that we wake to our true potentials as cosmic co-designers?
