The Political Future of Iran

Faculty, commentators, journalists and students with first-hand experience on Iran will present. Our guests will share their expertise to further the understanding of current events in the country. We will attempt to cover a broad range of issues concerning modern Iran, from its youth movement, the society, and current political challenges, to the geopolitics and larger historical context. Among our speakers are Iranian journalist and political dissident Roozbeh MirEbrahimi, Laura Secor of the New Yorker, NYU Professor Arang Keshavarzian, Baruch College Professor Ervand Abrahamian, and Barry Rosen, State Department Press Attaché in Tehran in 1979 and hostage during the 1979-80 crisis.
