Timber/Timbre – Violin Concert

Violin duo Miolina presents “Timber/Timbre,” a concert inspired by the trees that make-up our homes, schools, and businesses. Wood was one of humanity’s first building materials, and today it’s used in a new form, called Mass Timber, to build skyscrapers around the world. Miolina will present compositions that explore the nature of wood in connection with our current exhibition TALL TIMBER: The Future of Cities in Wood!

Miolina will present works by Dan Cooper, Dorothee Eberhardt, Mauro Godoy Villalobos, Jesse Jones, Sunny Knable, and Jessie Montgomery.

This concert is funded with support from NYSCA.

The concert is FREE, but you must book a timed-ticket for 5pm on Friday, June 7 on Ticketstripe, through the RSVP button on the website.
