Truth: An Ancient Babylonian Perspective

The search for truth is as old as human existence, but various cultures have had different approaches to it. Professor of History Marc Van De Mieroop will explore what methods the ancient Babylonians, who left us the earliest writings in world history, used in this pursuit. The Babylonians’ methods were very different from what we know from the ancient Greeks, but no less coherent or rational.

This event will be held at PicNic Cafe (2665 Broadway btw. 101st & 102nd Sts.), 212-222-8222.
