Join Ken Chaya, artist, urban naturalist and creator of the celebrated tree map Central Park Entire, for unique nature walks in Central Park.
Discover obscure footpaths and architectural features, and spot resident and migrant birds (bring binoculars!). Signed maps available at a discount for all attendees. In this early spring walk, trees are opening their flowers and leaf buds; crocuses, irises and snowdrops are among the first wildflowers to appear; early migrant birds pass through; and after a long winter of dormancy, fresh colors and textures emerge everywhere. his tour ends at approximately 12 pm. Meet at the East 72nd Street and Fifth Avenue entrance to the park.
Pre-registration for all tours is required at least 24 hrs in advance. Attendees will be emailed details of the tour — with specific meeting location and additional directions 24 hrs in advance of the tour. All tours happen rain or shine.
