Sara Lippman received a BA from Brown and an MFA from The New School. She has written for national magazines, taught college English, and currently co-hosts the Sunday Salon, a monthly reading series at Jimmy’s 43 in New York’s East Village. Her stories have been published in Tupelo Quarterly, Joyland, Jewish Fiction, The Good Men Project, Slice Magazine, and elsewhere, nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and included in Wigleaf’s Top 50. She has been a mentor for Girls Write Now and received a 2012 Fellowship in Fiction from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Raised outside of Philadelphia, she lives with her husband and children in Brooklyn. Doll Palace is her first book.

David Gordon was born in New York City. He attended Sarah Lawrence College and holds an MA in English and Comparative Literature and an MFA in Writing, both from Columbia University, and has worked in film, fashion, publishing and pornography. His first novel, “The Serialist,” won the VCU/Cabell First Novel Award and was a finalist for an Edgar Award. It was also made into a major motion picture in Japan. His second novel, “Mystery Girl” was released in July 2013 and his short story collection, “White Tiger on Snow Mountain” is forthcoming in Fall 2014 . His work has also appeared in The Paris Review, The New York Times, Purple, and Fence, among other publications.

Elizabeth Kadetsky is the author of a memoir with Little Brown (First There Is a Mountain) and two forthcoming books of fiction: a novella (On the Island at the Center of the Center of the World, Nouvella Books), and a story collection (The Poison that Purifies You, C&R Press). She lives in New York City’s East Village and in State College, Pennsylvania, and her works in fiction, memoir, personal and lyric essay, and long form narrative journalism have been published widely.
