Join Professor Anne Higonnet, Department of Art History, Barnard College and Columbia University, and Daria Rose Foner, Sotheby’s Old Masters Department, for an exploration of the life and legacy of American sculptor (and National Arts Club Member) Anna Hyatt Huntington (1876-1973).

Higonnet, Foner, and a team of Barnard and Columbia students organized the exhibition Goddess, Heroine, Beast: Anna Hyatt Huntington’s New York Sculpture, 1902-1936 at Columbia’s Wallach Art Gallery in 2014. Beginning with brief presentations on Hyatt Huntington’s career and on her Joan of Arc sculpture, of which the National Arts Club has a small bronze cast, the evening concludes with a conversation, moderated by Kathryn Kremnitzer, Sotheby’s 19th Century European Paintings Department.
