The Library for the Performing Arts continues its focus on the chamber music of Ludwig van Beethoven. Join us for a morning of casual classical music coffee talk, and hear rare recordings from the Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound. Featured on our playlist will be non-commercial recordings from the Toscanini Legacy Collection, including the maestro’s string orchestra arrangements of some the most profound movements of Beethoven’s late quartets, plus NBC Orchestra string players presenting a private string quartet concert at Toscanini’s Villa Pauline in 1955.
