Dancer/choreographer Iquail Shaheed and his DANCE IQUAIL! return to the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55 Street (corner 9th Avenue) to present two NY premieres.   Guest choreographer Christian von Howard’s “Movement in 3 Parts” will receive its NY premiere, along with Dr. Shaheed’s “Rain: A Psalm for JHM.”  Also on the program is the 2019 “Fly” by Dr. Shaheed (the first Black male to earn a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Texas Women’s University).  The Saturday 3 PM program, entitled “Concepts-in-Choreography,” will feature the Company’s exhuberant youth performing group from Orange, N.J. in original choreographies and an excerpt from “Rain.”
