Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis

Actors Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis—together with director Fred Schepisi—join Reel Pieces moderator Annette Insdorf after a preview of The Eye of the Storm, an Australian drama adapted from the Nobel Prize-winning Patrick White novel. Schepisi (whose films include The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith, Plenty, A Cry in the Dark—both with Meryl Streep—Roxanne and Six Degrees of Separation) tells the story of a matriarch (Charlotte Rampling) visited by the now-grown children that she treated with little love.

Geoffrey Rush received Oscar nominations for The King’s Speech, Quills and Shakespeare in Love, and won for Shine. Judy Davis was Oscar nominated for her performances in A Passage to India and Husbands and Wives, and received the Emmy for Life with Judy Garland. Her most recent movie is To Rome with Love, her fourth film with Woody Allen.
