How Type Drives Culture

Founded in 1946, The Type Directors Club celebrates and amplifies the undeniable power of typography. Charles Nix, Chairman Emeritus of the Board of the Club, will reveal how type and design connect people to ideas, culture, and each other. Using examples of type and design, he will illustrate how type styles define generations and bring people together by creating a universal language. Nix will select a particular font and review its origins, creation, and usage. A Q&A will follow the presentation.

This program is presented by The National Arts Club in partnership with The Type Directors Club.
