Science Talks with Claudia Dreifus, Brian Greene and Dennis Overbye: Why Einstein Matters

Nearly 100 years after Albert Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize for physics, two of America’s leading physics communicators talk with New York Times science writer Claudia Dreifus about the impact of Einstein on their (and our) lives.

Columbia University physicist and string-theorist Brian Greene is the author of four bestselling popular books about physics. With his wife, Tracy Day, he is a founder of the World Science Festival, where his theatrical piece about Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, Light Falls, premiered in 2015.

Dennis Overbye is the prize winning New York Times science reporter with a beat in physics, mathematics, and astronomy. A graduate of MIT, he is the author of “Lonely Hearts in the Universe” and “Einstein in Love,” about Albert Einstein’s youthful first marriage.
