Love Your Enemies: A Talk with Robert Thurman & Sharon Stalzberg, Moderated by Uma Thurman
In an evening at the 92nd Street Y, Robert Thurman and Sharon Stalzberg will explain how and why “anger” and “hatred” become addictive. Moderated by Uma Thurman, the talk will examine why these emotions are destructive and how to use our most unpleasant feelings to turn the key to becoming whole and happy.
Sharon and Robert have led workshops for the past seven years on the topic of “Working with Your Enemies.”
A recognized worldwide authority on religion and spirituality, Asian history, philosophy, Tibetan Buddhism, and the Dalai Lama, Robert is an eloquent advocate of the relevance of Eastern ideas to our daily lives. He has become a leading voice of the value of reason, peace and compassion, and was named one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential Americans.
