Although we are still mostly in the virtual realm, several in-person experiences dot our December roundup. Most all of us can’t say goodbye to 2020 quickly enough, but we have some good opportunities for looking back, and looking forward. We’re especially eager for presentations on Jung and tarot, John Coltrane, and a Filipinx holiday cooking demo.
It’s a fraught season with the election looming, but there are opportunities for electoral insight on both sides of the big day. We’re also looking forward to appearances by Noam Chomsky, Margaret Atwood, and Carlo Rovelli.
October is here, somehow, and even if we’re still living virtually there are plenty of great live presentations headed our way. We’re looking forward to hearing from Deepak Chopra, Nancy Pelosi, Jelani Cobb, Andrew Cuomo, Matthew McConaughey, and many more.
Wait, September? It seemed like time was standing still. As we gear up for fall there are legions of good talks and cultural experiences waiting, mostly still virtual, although a couple of in-person opportunities are sprinkled in. We’re looking forward to talks on Spinoza, Audre Lorde, and the medicine of “Game of Thrones.”
Talks and lectures in August are still on the virtual plan, although real life events are closer than they’ve been in New York City for many months. We’re looking forward to hearing from Isabella Rossellini, Masha Gessen, John Douglas Thompson, and Gloria Steinem, among the livestream programming coming our way in August.

This is the month when New York City nominally comes off pause, but we anticipate most of the available culture will still be of the virtual kind. There are still plenty of chances to learn and explore, though, from the science of cheese to a virtual Stonehenge livestream.
As we adjust to the new normal, the quality of virtual culture is only improving. This month brings a varied array of livestream talks, lectures, and performances. We’re looking forward to everything from effortless mindfulness to Art Deco ocean liners.
