As we gear up for fall there are legions of good talks and cultural experiences waiting, mostly still virtual, although a couple of in-person opportunities are sprinkled in. We’re looking forward to talks on Spinoza, Audre Lorde, and the medicine of “Game of Thrones.”
With the state infection rate below 1% for more than 12 days in a row, the Governor has cleared the way for indoor culture to return. Starting next Monday, museums can reopen with safety and cleaning protocols in place, although admission will be limited to 25% of capacity. As New York City cautiously reemerges from long sequestration, tours are taking place again in real life. Masks and social distancing are required, but there are multiple ways to explore the city now, including on the boats.
